I would guess they're maybe going to try and make a franchise out of this, which wasn't happening where it was.

On paper it certainly seems like something worth expanding, but what I played of the execution in the game needed a lot of work for any potential sequel.

It had a metascore of 77 and a user score of 7.6 (on metacritic), and I don't remember it getting a huge amount of hype (though there was some hype), so I think you're exxagerating a little bit.

I wouldn't mind. For me the use of the gamepad in as excuse to make you believe you are playing the game differently. if the game is bad, it's bad with or without the gamepad.
