What's happened is that a lot of kids who grew up with Gamecubes are now old enough to have disposable income. So the price of Nintendo games have skyrocketed. For instance, cartridge alone, Megaman X2 and X3 are going for 300 dollars. It's also caused a lot of inflation too. For instance, Megaman X Collection for Gamecube is 80 dollars. You can buy that brand new for 25 dollars on PS2. It's cheaper to find a PS2 at a flea market and buy that game new than it is to buy the Gamecube version. So the prices of titles skyrocketed. For another comparison; Genesis games haven't gone up in price. Though some PSX titles have risen to ridiculous levels too. Though Final Fantasy 7, a few months ago to a year(If not more), went down in price. It's going for 50, black label vs the 100/150 it used to go for. So we'll see how long this bubble lasts. Can be forever, can not. Though with all this inflation going on, I'm not sure why Nintendo isn't pushing the Virtual Console like they used to.
