Forums - Nintendo Discussion - No Devil's Third at E3 AT ALL?!?!

Possibly because of all the coverage they gave it last year or it could be NA is aiming for a mid 2016 release?

I do agree, it seems a foolish oversight given, this game could feed off the positive shooter vibes and multiplayer community that Splatoon has generously opened up to them on the Wii U. Especially given the lack of online multiplayer support that will curse Star Fox Zero thanks to its rushed development.

But then again, NoA despite making a few entertaining internet videos does act like idiots in terms of scheduling or getting games that could do well out. I should just be glad we are getting Fatal Frame 5 and Xenoblade X this year.

Well to be fair, the Treehouse covered pretty much every game other than Devil's Third.  Including Fatal Frame which is a heck of a lot more disturbing then Devil's Third.  So it seems to be an issue with this game in particular, which is odd indeed.

True, and it is curious why they seem so determined to bury this game.

But even Fatal Frame was held back for the Treehouse and not shown at the Digital Event itself.

Just think how much better the DE would have been recieved if Fatal Frame, the improved Devil's Third, and FAST Racing Neo were shown?

It might be Nintendo overreacted to the negative reception Devil's Third got originally?  Also could be just part of Nintendo's running misconception that since they can announce games and stuff whenever they please thanks to directs they don't need to really go all in at E3.  Which of course shows they don't get the point:  E3 is largely symbolic.  It's like Christmas.  Even if a friend gives you nice gifts all year round, if he shows up to Christmas with not much to offer you will feel slighted.

i was waiting all week and was expecting to see it but nothing. I don't get how it was not on the treehouse seeing it was there last year and they showed fatal frame. Nintendo is just failed this e3 for me. Yoshi, parts of star fox, super Mario maker, xenoblade, and the piece of fatal frame they showed did keep it from being their worse but this whole waiting for nx thing is just bad.

I really don't even understand why Nintendo greenlit this game. It seems more like a personal favor than a business decision.

They don't seem even remotely interested in selling it.

I just hope that if/when this game bombs that it doesn't sink Valhalla Games and Itagaki.

At first I figured they did it for the same reason as Bayonetta 2; to diversify their software lineup and show the "hardcore" that "hey, we have mature games too!"

But it makes no sense to invest in it then try to bury it.

every time i go to my local gamestop devil's third is on their tv. I've had it pre-ordered for like 6 months. Why not show off this game at e3 or at least put it in your list of titles. All i really wanted was a release date. Last year nintendo was really good about giving us a wii u release calendar (except for smash which they didn't give a date for until a month b4 launch). Why not do the same thing this year? So dumb.

I've been looking to see something about it all week.

Just another letdown from E3 2015. Maybe we'll get an American Direct for it... Nintendo doesn't seem to understand what E3is to American gamers.
