It's big becasue so many wanted it. Including myself. And true, a console feature that should have been available from the get, and they did it they way gamers wanted it- free. Sony went with PSnow.

Emulating the jaguar on the PS4 is not possible. Its not that they wanted to force people to PS Now. Its that they wanted to switch to a system architecture that would allow easy porting... and ongoing BC in the future.

This and the trade-in deal will definitely help the X1 sales. Them stubborn 360 owners has no more reason not to upgrade. Well unless they have no money like me >_

Do you think it could happen given the difference in architecture between PS3 and PS4? 360 and One have similar arcitecture.

The 360 had a  PowerPC cpu, the XBO an x86. I don't see the PS3 -> PS4 being a huge problem, if 360 -> XBO works fine. I'm interested in how they are doing this though. Software emulation sounds like it would be touch considering the minute power difference (relatively.)

Wait, what? Jaguar? Who the hell would want to emulate that?

They probably did this to try and convince 360 owners not to upgrade to a PS4.

LOL! yea, the cell architecture is pretty complicated. But BC on ps4 would make me sooooo happy.
