Seems like going back to their children's toy roots is working well for Nintendo.

You mean playing cards

It's not dissimilar to cards. Or expensive DLC.

If Nintendo made EU want to buy them as much as US......they would be sooooooo huge!

Let's see how they sell once new disney infinity, skylanders and lego dimensions launch.

I honestly never thought they would do this well

too bad they haven't had any big impact on WiiU sales or have they?

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Yeyyyyyyyyyyyy!Expected, imagine what will happen when nintendo make packs with more than one amiibo inside, they already have a triple pack with splatoon amiibo,it sold 106k(90% sell-through rate)in Japan in its FW(2 days),that means 318k amiibos were sold!:P
Now it needs to win the younger audience as they have admitted, since amiibos are being bought/collected in the overwhelming majority by adults, which is not really shocking for me and many other people, unless you're a person with...I can't say it,it will probably be considered flame-bait..
Amiibo are so appealing  and many of them represent an ultra iconic/notorious character!:P

No, the 106k number was the total amount of splatoon amiibo figurines. Triple packs were counted as three.

No, 106k was the total amount of Splatoon amiibos, not the amount of triple packs.
