Flight action game no longer making September release.

NIS America has delayed Rodea the Sky Soldier from its planned September release date to mid-October. The game will now launch for Wii U and 3DS on October 13 in North America and October 16 in Europe.

The company also announced that North American retailers will get a special “Launch Edition” of the 3DS version, which includes the game, a collector’s box, and an original soundtrack.

First-print copies of the Wii U retail version will come packaged with the original Wii version of the game.

Won't be a release day buy for me since I don't own either of the platforms, but I'll definitely pick this up down the line.

It's weird though. When it was announced I felt this was a really big get for NISA - first time working on Nintendo platforms in a while; spiritual successor to Nights; colourful game which seems to mesh well with Nintendo platforms demographics.

But there seem to be no hype around it. Went down like a lead balloon in Japan and doesn't look to be doing any better in the west.
