Both have their shit and masterpieces. I prefer Japanese, but Western games will always have a place with me.

Japanese; the majority of my favourites come from them.
Not just Nintendo but also stuff like Bayonetta, Monster Hunter, Fatal Frame...

So...Nintendo.

Well, technically Bayo and MH aren't developed or owned by Nintendo, and Fatal Frame has only recently been co-acquired.

I originally fell in love with Bayonetta on Xbox 360, and Fatal Frame with FF4, which came out before Nintendo bought a stake in the franchise.

But yeah, point taken. XD

I like Japanese much more, but nowadays Western games sell the most usually

Can you just imagine if a few years ago, someone said that all of those franchises would be associated with Nintendo?

A bit off-topic, but something interesting to think about, lol.

I've played through Fatal Frame 4 and the Wii remake of Fatal Frame 2 multiple times, and dabbled in Fatal Frame 1 on PS2, yes.

Western AAA games are really more into graphics and realism. i'm mesmerized by it, but i really haven't played that much on Western games. I love Japanese games and into those anime-style graphics or not-so-real :)

both have great games and have some meh as well. but overall I'll prefer Japanese games.

Far out, back when Monster Hunter Tri was announced as a Wii exclusive back in 2008 (It was originally slated for PS3) the meltdown was fucking spectacular. Like, bigger than Bayonetta 2.

That`s good to hear. I`m a big fan of the series myself, so I would have recommended playing them all, haha....

Oh man, I wish I had been there. I can only imagine how pissed people were.

It's really only poetic justice after Final Fantasy went to the dark side. jk. sort of.
