Forums - Gaming Discussion - The Witcher 3 Is Not Fun To Play (But The Quests Are Godly)

I had the same when I played Uncharted after I played Gears of War, the shooting and coverage mechanics are just better in Gears but I got still used to it after a while and enjoyed the Uncharted games for all the rest.

It feels slow to you that much?, from what I'm seeing on a recent gameplay vid from PGC the combat looks pretty fluid, especially when combatting the griffon.

Don't forget Witcher 3 isn't meant to be exactly like BB, W3 is it's own game with it;s own combat style and pacing.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Don't feel what you feel, not even the slightest. Played it for 27 hours in the last two days. I'm absolutely addicted. Best game since Grand Theft Auto V for me. Absolutely amazing.

From what I've heard, the Witcher has always had boring gameplay, I think the appeal is the world, how open it, what too do in it, how well written it is.

no, no... its all about sex and so badly written storyparts that they are good again.

its like a porno parodie of western game  made by the guys behind army of darkness.

witcher pulp, but its great and its not stupid.

Same feeling. Just moving around, looting or entering a house can be problematic in this game. Geralt's animations are really bad.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

And thus does the hype machine unravel
You'd have avoided the disappointment if you'd have played the previous "efforts"

Everyone has an opinion.

Well, its one of the best games I have played in years. I do agree that the general movement could be a tad better when navigating around the world but in combat the movement is perfect for me and I throughly enjoy the combat mechanics and enemy design which is all so complex. Also enjoying preparing for boss fights by applying oil to my swords, taking potions and using certain signs or bombs they are weak against.

I just finished Witcher 2 on PC, and i have no interest in playing Witcher 3 until it is like 5 dollars. I appreciate your input, tc. If the combat is anything like TW2, then I don't really want to play it. It was still a decent game, but it pales in comparison, IMO, to the Souls games.

The Souls games (and Bloodborne) have such fluid, challenging, and satisfying combat with so many endless combinations of attack that they have seriously ruined most other games for me. Also---and I am only mentioning this because you mentioned BB---the souls games have a very minimalist approach with dialogue yet they still deliver a story through exploration and occasional conversation; whereas in the Witcher 2, I read so much crap about people from so many places, but in the end, I was so confused and lost with many topics and didn't feel a great connection to the vast majority of them. And I have nothing against dialogue (jrpgs are my favorite genre), but damn, my favorite ones (FF6-9, CT, Suikoden 1/2, Nocturne, etc.) are concise yet effective at delivering a nice plot. I wish every game was like that.

The game is all about going through chores to get sex as a reward. If you can't comprehend this, then the game just isn't for you.
