One of my greatest experiences as a gamer.
As for myself, I'd have to say Tomb Raider (2013) just last month or so. Can't believe I hadn't played it earlier.
The Last of Us probably, nothing since then has been mindblowing to me except Bloodborne & GTA5 which are amazing games but i wouldn't call them a masterpiece.
Probably bioshock. Just hit all the right notes for me.
I'd say fallout new Vegas but so many bugs take it out of the running
Well Xenoblade I would say is better, but Bayo 2 came out recently. As far as sheer "greatest game of all time" status, Xenoblade. As far as the most recent truly unforgettable, amazing, fun experience I gotta go with Bayo 2 (and it is every bit of a masterpiece).
The latest one is Ori and the Blind Forest.
And before that, Super Mario 3D World.
And before that, and topping both of them: The Last of Us.
-This year: Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, Majora's Mask if we count remakes.
-This gen: 3DWorld, DK: Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 2, MK8.
-Older games I've played this gen: Earthbound.
The list is very Nintendo related because I don't consider any multiplatform game I've played in PC a masterpiece (Alien:Isolation is very close) and because I don't own a PS4 to play Bloodborne.
