People that only come here for the sales have probably already abandoned this website or on the fence.
I think it is safe to say that most people are here for both, although the community is likely the main overall factor.

I enjoy both, however, as we all know there is only the community side of things as of late.
Hopefully there will be some sales updates soon as they can be fun to look at and analyse.

I feel like the response to threads like these, the adamant defense of ioi is analogous to a thread made a while back about how gamers get treated like crap by developers, and console manufacturers and rush to defend their abusive one side relationship. Like the fallout of Diablo 3 not being playable for a week after launch and every one saying we need to deal with it. I mean it's crazy to expect something advertised as working to actually work when payed for.

Yes VGchartz has a good forum community ever since we decided to stop the console flame wars, but what you guys are doing is the big guys dirty work. Making people feel like they're in a minority because theyre upset over numbers never being updated anymore on a website that compiles numbers as it's headline (literally the center piece of the sight are #'s) and shouldn't complain is a fascinating way to see how people can become victimized while being portrayed as a outlier who cares about things no one else does.

I mostly lurk the page checking on latest tid bits of news in a condensed way, but I see no reason why that needs to be done on VGchartz now. Along with the obtrusive banner ads and pop up ads that plague this site, it seems it's better to stop doing the numbers. However instead of a dead silence that started with excuses like "ioi is on vacation he will be back soon to update" we should have at least a mod or contributor tell us the numbers are done so we can move on. I'm tired of opening this website as the daily sites I visit expecting numbers and not seeing them, just tell me ur done.

Besides, they are not very accurate to begin with. Just all produced in an algorythm made by ioi.
