I hope this gets good sales overall so that nintendo feels confident on making more and more new original IP like this one.

I think the demo worked perfectly as a "game-seller". In my case, I wasn't thinking on buying Splatoon day one, but I had so much fun with it that I can't wait to have it. Maybe this happened to a lot of people. I hope so! :)

Usually Nintendo has shipped enough to have no issue at all getting a game.
Will be interesting though. We dont know the actual preorder numbers and i bet it will be far smaller than Mario Kart and Smash Bros. But it seems that Splatoon will do well.

I bet if NOA priced Splatoon the same as the other regions, Splatoon would be sold out, too.
