Nintendo has revealed that a Splatoon 2 Global Testfire event will take place shortly after the launch of the Switch, giving owners a chance to sample the sequel for free.

The demo will be available for download from the eShop and in terms of content will include four different main weapons, including the new Splat Dualies and "remixed" versions of the Splat Roller and Splat Charger.

It has also been confirmed that existing Splatoon amiibo will be compatible with the new game.

Fire Emblem Heroes director Shingo Matsushita made a suprise announcement today that four new characters will soon be arriving to the mobile application.

The future arrivals will be Seliph and Julia from Genealogy of the Holy War and Eirika and Ephraim from The Sacred Stones. You can take a look at their artwork below:

OT: Sonic Mania sprite comparisons

Looks better than the first two, but I still like Sonic 3's design the best, he actually has a mouth! Wont stop me from getting this game on Switch of course.

My nostalgia preference goes towards the first one. No smiling, Sonic's serious.
