Yeah I won nearly all of my matches playing for Team Patrick and got King rank, so I was pretty confused when I read some of the posts here. Glad it worked out though! xD

Yea I was confused also as I was on the SpongeBob side and I had 7 mirror matches out of the first 11 that I played :S

Last Splatfest Hoverboard won with 51% votes and 52% wins :D So occasionaly it happens.

I think early on.  Iirc, popularity used to have a lot more sway.  But then people complained it was just a popularity contest so they jacked the win multiplier way up.  I think.  Didn't get Splatoon til September though soooo might be misremembering

As for other high score medals, charged shots are an obvious thing to get bonus hits, but you also get extra hits if you shoot down enemies that are on their way to explode. So fire charged shots into enemy formations, then immediately try to hit as many of them as possible again.

Yeah, I've just noticed that you get more points if you take some enemies fast, so I think Venom in the end won't be a problem. I've got gold trophies in 8 levels now, I guess that side missions and Fortuna will be the hardest to get for me. Maybe Sector Omega, because of its speed. I didn't notice what you mentioned on the second paragraph, I've always left them to die in peace. That should make things easier.
