That is odd. Do you like any of the spin-offs like Persona or Digital Devil Saga?

Skullmonkeys. I saw one ad in a magazine with no screenshots of actual gameplay and bought it. Led to a complete love and obsession of the game and its predecessor.

I, unfortunately, don't have a Sony console so am unable to play those games.. though once I get a PS3, I will definitely try out games including Persona because it does look very interesting.
But specifically with Atlus RPGs, I like some (Etrian Odyssey, Radiant Historia, Luminous Arc 1) but dislike others that I lost interest in (Conception, Lumious Arc 2, SMT)

Oh yeah? well when you get one you'll have to try Persona 3 and 4 for sure
I heard Conception was kinda odd XD
Number One would certainly have to be the original Final Fantasy for the NES. I'd never heard of it before I stumbled across it the bargain bin at a local drug store. I always looked through the discounted games while my mom waited in line to get her prescription, then I would beg her to buy my top selection. On this day, after much caterwauling, she relented. I am very thankful. Probably the game that had the most impact for me on the NES.
Most recently, This War of Mine. I picked it up during a weak moment when it was on sale without any knowledge of it previously and now I have 80 hours into it.
Generally, though, I'm pretty careful about what I buy.
Honestly, dead or alive 5. Was wanting to get a fighting game for PS3 so I went to a 2ndhand store. There was no Tekken or Street Fighter; only DOA, a game I had never heard of before. Turned out to be quite a good fighting game
