Your point?

Indies > AAA

Most people here enjoy indies....

Lol, you've got to be kidding me?

Isn't Paris games week a small event i think they never announced any new games there.
I don't believe this news

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Because the popularity of one thing determines the greatness of a whole category?

Because nobody plays Terraria right?

1.6 Million before being released on 360/PS3/PS4/One and Mobile

Add another 1.3 million on Mobile

You're not expanding your argument. Nothing you've said so far even begins to make a case for why Indies > AAA. If you come up with something worth debating, let me know

Ah, the "I don't like games from smaller studios so they aren't important to anyone else" junk. Always nice to see people speak for others. I'm pretty sure Wild, Rime, Until Dawn, and Alienation had people's interest last year, and I know for a fact that the first Bloodborne game-play video did.

Oh, and what was that other thing? P.T.? Yeah, that had a bit of buzz going, too.

Anyway, Sony has done an excellent job in recent years of saving stuff for other shows throughout the year instead of blowing everything at E3. They do have other markets to consider, which has obviously payed off. Personally, I really like that strategy.

If this is true, hopefully it's just the presentation and they keep a big presence on the Gamecon floor. That's the important part for con-goers.

Let's see:

E3_ June 16-18

Gamescom_ August 5-9 (about 50 days later)

Tokyo Game Show_ Spetember 17-20 (about 40 days later)

Paris Games Week_ October 28-Nov 1 (again, about 40 days later)

So Sony is skipping GamesCom because it's too close to E3, but then decides to go to Paris because it is not coo close to TGS...

Yup, makes total sense.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Exactly, people are putting too much stock in Gamescom announcements, but what really makes the show so big is that unlike E3 the general public actually gets an opportunity to come out and try the upcoming games that E3 shows only to the media.

Can't take that for granted

They're putting all their efforts in E3, PSX, and TGS. Having reveals at four different conferences is spreading themselves too thin. Microsoft only went to E3 and Gamescom last year. Nintendo only went to E3 (though they had Nintendo Directs in addition).

Gamescom is mostly an indie showcase every year which isn't a bad thing but it doesn't need to be a full blown press conference.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Eh, TGS is entirely different in what audience it appeals to and in what games will be there, hardly any TGS games will be at E3/Gamescom and vice versa and if western games appear at TGS they are often just the E3 trailers dubbed. If you want to question something, then I'd suggest how close PSX should be to Paris Games Week, that really doesn't make that much sense.

That's why PSX exists.
