This looks either fake, or just local to France. I would expect SCEE to make such announcement, not Sony France.

If it is really being replaced this year for Sony, I doubt the conference in Paris will differ greatly from what would have been shown in Germany. It is only a few months after all.

Gamescom is not meant to "copy" E3.

Sony's Gamescom conference last year was a lot of indies if I remember correctly. Not really worth the conference IMO. 

Would be very surprising if true. Gamescom might not have the amount of high profile reveals as E3 but it's a huge event and gives the actual public a chance to come out and get hands on time with your games. Seems like a bad idea to skip it

Gamescom for the past few years has been miles better than E3.  From my own point of view, mostly because of Sony's showings.

Jeez dude..... Most indies on console are good, now if you want to bring Steam in to this then yes, most indies do suck. Steam gets so much crapware
