What's the point of this? I look at your sig and you are just a Splinter Cell fanboy. The worst part of that is that you can't let yourself enjoy MGS just because. I played the first Splinter Cell like 7 times, simply adored it, the second one was more or less, the third was cool, Double Agent also and the black and white one was much much different. Just freaking let yourself enjoy games.

About your complaints:
1 - The camera never stood in my way, hide anything from me, it was how the game was designed, and the game respects the rules. It is not a case of bad camera, it is just a different style that the game is DESIGNED around.
2 - The interface is quick on MGS, except a bit on MGS 3, but that was normal, with so many items, camouflages and animals.
3 - Snake's voice is what it is, there are some really horrible voicing in Splinter Cell or it is just sound design. Without subtitles Its almost impossible to understand anything.

Just go play something else.

Yes, shadows everywhere, even places that don't make any fucking sense, automatic controls for everything, only you ever do is walk, duller than the worst of QTEs, the most fun ever in the game being lock-picking is fantastic gameplay of course.

1: The controls and the camera angles are bad at first, but when you get used to it, it's actually quite useful controller schemes.
2: The games are one of the best games i've played ( a lot of XB gamer's probably will say as usual: Noob, you haven't played enough games if you feel so )
3: I can't get enough of MGS, probably the only franchise i've played like 50 times in an amazing marathon!

Other than the xbox comment I completely agree. This franchise is just perfect the way it is and there isn't a thing I would change about the mechanics or storyline of the game. Theres literally nothing like it.

The Xbox comment wasn't aimed as an attack, i am just used to be bashed for praising MGS. It's usually XB gamer's cause MGS was once exclusive to PS. So they didn't understand the hype around it. I've met a lot of XB gamer's who loved the series after the HD collection ended up on 360.
The MGS1 are my favorite.
MGS2 had the most interesting, in depth story.
MGS3 was a good experience, Gameplay wise.
MGS4 was emotional and had a good story.
MGS5 will be the link that will probably give us some closure on the entire plot of all the games.
I feel bad for Solid though, cause he is the one who have to clean up Big boss big mess.

My favorites in order are:

MGS 4

MGS 2

MGS 1

MGS 3

I love all games pretty much the same and I have almost zero complaints about any of them. Gameplay is perfect and the games are so memorable on the hardest difficulty level.

I just bought the HD collection for PS3 (previously owned for 360) and am now going to Platinum 2, 3, 4, PW, GZ and then 5 once it comes out.

No. I don't get them. The stories, the settings, the characters, the game design, the controls, the visual aesthetics.

I don't get any of it. These games were never for me.

I've tried to get into the series I really have, but I find then way too boring to finish.

I've never played any of them. I'm sure I'll try it one day, though.

Official Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Thread

The European level :D

The easter eggs in MGS are awesome.
the Background stories, the plots and people's background's in the game are very detailed.
Main story is complicated and the understanding of the history can change from player's to player's cause we all understands it differently as if we was dragged into a big conspiracy ourselves, and the story depends on our theories.
