Not really, guys. There's nothing that shows that it's definitely cancelled. Only that it's most likely cancelled. For all we know, the game is on hiatus until they figure out what to do with it or until work out legal issues. For example, how much of it can they keep and not be sued by Kojima, etc. All they're saying is that there's definitely going to be a SH game. Whether it will have anything to do with P.T. or wherever Kojima was taking the project is uncertain.

Er... not really? Just because they side stepped the question, it doesn't mean it "def got canceled".

When you add the hearsay statement from del Toro and Reedus' tweet stating it's all over for Silent Hills then it's pretty def. There might be a game called 'Silent Hills' released at some point, but it won't be the game of del Toro and Kojima's vision, and it won't star Norman Reedus. 


Plus the news that they are pulling the PT demo from the store.

So it seems they are not continuing the developement of that game.

Silent Hill Zero is classic Silent Hill in terms of gameplay, story and atmosphere. Third one was rehash of SH2 cos game used alot of SH2 environments like south part of the town, hospital Brookhaven, "Heavens Night" club, etc.

In current situation only Climax studio can make proper Silent Hill. Shattered Memories was superior.

Heeyyy you've not played Silent hill Book of memories, the diablo clone on the Vita, now there was a great use of the SH franchise I mean it... had.... umm... ... the logo on the box?

 

OT tho, definitely odd goings on at Konami right now seems their in a bit of turmoil internally and now it's starting to boil over onto social media, they really need to put on a good show at E3 to let the gaming world know they're still a super power in it.

FUCK KONAMI. Assholes probably thought the game was becoming too "western"/"American" So they scrapped it. Will likely release some ultra japanese non-scary tentacle/weird mutant bullshit. Then again this could all be some ruse? After all there was huge secrecy around not only P.T. but with the newish metal gear releases. Maybe this was all planned to throw the public off? That's hoping anyway. All I know is if it's actually canceled then this is bullshit and I don't think I'll be buying another Konami game again, or at least caring about another konami game again. First they get rid of David Hayter now this. Sorry Konami, but I'm done.

I've enjoyed the past iterations of the franchise, despite some rough moments. While it saddens me that Kojima is no longer working on it, as he could have given the franchise an interesting spin and make it relevant again, I am glad that Konami is still on it. Looking forward to what it becomes.
