Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Could Star Fox U gain some respect for the GamePad?

Given that my reaction to the Metroid game in Nintendoland was "flesh this into a full blown Star-Fox and I'll buy it day one", I'm gonna go ahead and say it can be done splendidly and no-one will give a shroom.

I dont like the gamepad....

I want it to fail hard, so nintendo doesnt do it again next gen.

(I want nintedo to bring back the wii nunchucks instead  OR just release consol with a normal controller).

It could, but will be a little late. Should have been a launch title.

Better late than never but hopefully this ordeal will tell Nintendo to work harder and increase game development.

Project Zero/Fatal Frame 5, is a good use of the gamepad as well.

No. It is just too little, too late. Even if it uses it amazingly it is just one game. There would need to be 10 by now for it to be justified.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

This; I honestly think it could be the best yet, even before the Wii U came out, I thought "wow, that would work so well as a camera in Fatal Frame."

If it works Starfox would be the game to get me into the pad outside of metroid. Those are possibly two of Nintendos most flexiable games save for an RPG that made use of it.

Just saying...some people would like some shrooms while playing Nintendo games. LOL Starfox is my system seller and Nintendo better not screw it up, because I haven't had a Nintendo console since the 64. I really could use some light hearted gaming in my life coupled with some Star Fox (the only dog fighting game i've ever truly loved). Its probably because I'm a sci-fi whore/geek.

Well, shrooms were legal in Japan until 2002. I would be very surprised if they played no role in the development of Nintendo's games prior to this. ;)

I wouldn't call the Starfox games so much as gimmicky as I would say they're fancy tech demo's :P
