Forums - Sony Discussion - XBO > PS4 LifeTime in the US or Wii U > PS4 LifeTime in Japan?

What is more probabily

XBO > PS4 LT in US 36 14.06%

Wii U > PS4 LT in JP 28 10.94%

Stop Ryng, enjoy PS4 domination. :D 192 75.00%

Total:256

If you ask me, both are unlucky and not going to happen. (is also true both XBO and WU has a chance for beat PS4)

PS4 > XBO in the US.

PS4 > Wii U in JP.

Is what i think will happen.

But between the two option, what is more probabily?

Is more probabily Wii U above PS4 in JP, or XBO above PS4 in the US?

What do you think?

XBO > PS4 in the US is more probable than Wii U > PS4 in Japan.

Although I don't think either will happen.

None to both.
PS4's rule in Japan is pretty much a done deal. Since the PS4 is outperforming the X1 in US at a much higher price I don't believe it can build enough momentum to outsell it indefinitely. There is a slight chance that X1 will take the lead briefly after Halo hits but that won't be enough to win LT.

none, recent numbers show that Americans are buying the PS4 more now. And japan has playstation fever again so think in 2 years they could outsell the wiiu there if not earlier

hm.. WiiU staying above PS4 in JP could happen, but at this point it looks like Nintendo needs a bit more compelling high profile software, like maybe the next single player Dragon Quest (will likely go to portable/mobile - might get a console port though)

Guys, don't comment with "none".
As i said, i predict PS4 above both Wii U and XBO, but between the two option, what do you think is more possible?

I think that if you look at the support Japanese are giving to the PS3 it's pretty obvious that Wii U will never hold that lead for a lifetime. Just think about how many games the Wii U will get next year vs how many the PS4 will get. It seems you can easily make the Japanese buy things if you give them tons of games.

That said, PS4 will take the lead next year and won't give it back ever. That's a fact.

I'll go with Japan simply because Wii U is ahead already and it's up to PS4 to catch up.

If both things happened that would keep this generation interesting from a sales perspective. Even when WIi was dominating there was still a battle between PS3 and 360. This gen the only interesting competitive situations are UK and USA for PS4/Xb one and Japan for Wii U and PS4. If those become clear wins for PS4 there's nothing interesting happening any more.

Yuji Horii already said DQXI is being made for home consoles.
