This is really cool, full windows 8.1 and good battery life is definitely the way forward for surface tablets. Although the lack of QHD is kind of disappointing and it's ugly AF.

With the decently configured Pro version Macbook Pro Retina and Yoga 3 Pro (and the Thinkpad Yoga)) still seem like a better product and value to me. The pen isn't really usable for drawing at only 50 levels of pressure.
The non-Pro seems like a poor all-around performer, neither here nor there.

till they drop the usb from the macbook pro...

the newest macbook has only 1 usb-c port, for EVERYTHING, included AC...

usb-c means you cant use any normal usb thingys...

Oh, I was out of the loop, thanks. The new Pro looks awesome except for that. Quite strange, them ditching even thunderbolt just like that (I have to admit that never caught on). Is there at least some breat-out thingy or a hub?

EDIT: Oh but no biggie. It's not the new Pro, it's just them bringing back the vanilla Macbook (remember the old white one?). It's just an alternative. Phew.

Looks pretty neat and a pretty good competitive price, heard pretty good things about the new Surface tablets so far.

The price is a bit high still for a basic tablet. This price will make a lot more sense when Win10 comes out. Win8 still has the hate baggage to carry from the "I can't figure it out" crowd. Win10 fixes almost all of those issues. If I could replace my Kindles and iPads with Surfaces 3, that would be great. But, I have a couple of Surface Pro 2's and they are pretty powerful. I can't wait til the Surface Pro 4 comes out in June or July. It will be time to upgrade!

It is near the end of the end....

Beautiful. Neat, Sleek, Perfection (aside second of minecraft but no matter) and Voila!!!

Too bad I don't need one since I have a touchscreen laptop. But damnnn. It's hot.
