Forums - Gaming Discussion - What is the Best Online Experience on a Nintendo System?

Hi all!

I was discussing with my friends how we think the online is going to be for splatoon.  I hope it can be engrossing and engaging, but I was concerned about its lack of voice chat (although that can be easily fixed with Skype).

This prompted the discussion of what is the best online experience on a Nintendo Console  - including any kind of online experience and from every developer.

In my opinion Goldeneye 007 for Wii had some amazing online multiplayer. there were lots of different modes, pretty good loadouts, fun maps, and dedicated player base compared to other wii FPS.  I would always play black Box mode-- essentially capture the flag.  the voice acting from judi dench made that experience really fun.

My second choice would be Kid Icarus Uprising.  the intense loadout system with the intense weapon gem system plus power ups and intersting maps made the online multiplayer consistently fresh.  I havent done this in a long time, but I hope there is still some people playing it online.

What is your favorite online experience on a nintendo console?  Why?

Wii U has the best experiences
Mario Kart 8, Smash, and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate are all great , can't wait to play Splatoon (which will probably end up be my favorite online Nintendo game)

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.  Playing together and trying to take down a big hulking monster is so fun.

Monster Hunter tri - Tons of fun to play with other people, and the fact that you will hit other players if you aren't careful throws on another layer of challenge. As a Long Sword player, I know that whenever I walk into a lobby, everyone shudders, but I think I make them realize that I don't play like a maniac by the end of the round.

Kid Icarus Uprising - I love the way this game feels to play. Just moving around is a ton of fun, and when you throw that into the hectic environment of online multiplayer, well, its just crazy in all the right ways.

Mario Kart and Kid Icarus! :)

SSB4 for me. That conquest mode stuff is interesting and friends lobby is awesome! And you can also go online with two players local

I've heard Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate has fantastic online. Mario Kart 8 is really great as well since it's so effortless to jump in and out of matches (Smash is the same but a little less good because of lag).

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on Wii U and Mario Kart 8 are a lot of fun to play online with friends. I've put in the most time online with those games on Wii U.

I've played a lot Resident Evil Revelations Raid Mode online as well.

I was always partial to Advance Wars: Days of Ruin
