Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Zelda U delayed until 2016, will not be at E3

Nintendo is really off their game this generation. Another generation like this and they will be done. Such a shame because they make great games. Too bad they treat their customers like garbage.

April Fools' Day, guys. Perhaps the Nintendo wants to make a surprise.

oh yeah you're screwed

Gaming may have to take a back seat for me for the next few years, like it did in the 6th gen. There just isn't enough going around to keep me engaged.

Try out bloodborne ;)?

The worst part is that the fanbase is defending this, im reading on other forums that this is not bad because it will make the game even better and that at least Nintendo had the decency to apologize with a video.

But then another company like Sony or Rockstar (i say these two because they are two recent examples) delay their game and what happens? They suddenly become the worst company ever and a wave of shit splashes them.

I literally read this exact same thing from PS fans after the Uncharted 4 delay. Let's not pretend only one fanbase does this.

OT: Kinda disappointed to hear this...but this is probably better for me, considering the size of my backlog. That and I really don't want to be playing Zelda and Xenoblade at the same time. If the two games satisfy the same itch, I'd probably prefer to space them out. Though that's assuming X is a fall release anyway. If that game's delayed...*growls

Thanks for the suggestion, but if it's anything like the Souls titles, it would be as wasted on me as a milkshake to someone who's lactose intolerant. ;)

I wish. A surprise Nintendo Direct in April 1st with a Zelda trailer, 2015 release date and a promise of E3 show will restore my broken faith.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Just woke up and heard this, totally called it... but not at E3 are you fucking kidding me -_-

It seems that Nintendo just really weren't ready to make HD games.  Which is weird since they have had essentially an extra gen to get their devs ready for it.  Or to hire new staff who could handle these projects.  They could have completely avoided stumbling out of the gate like Sony did last gen, yet they decided not to.

To be fair, there wasn't much hate for the UC4 delay.  Except maybe from fanboys, but they will always hate.  Of course, Nintendo fans should be a little ticked.  It seems like every single major game this gen from Nintendo has been delayed at least once.  And given that there is little 3rd party support, Nintendo should be upping their game to deal with droughts.  There's also the fact that Nintendo already teased their next console, which means that some games may be moving over to it so that they don't have the same droughts the first few years.  Considering the Wii U has only sold 10M in 2 and a half years, it's possible that Nintendo may be cutting its losses.

I don't really understand how anyone believes Xenoblade Chronicles X could get delayed. It's almost out in Japan, they only need to localize it... sure, that could take a while, but surely not more than 6 months.

Back on topic, well, um, ugh... erm... UGH... to put it like this, well, I mean... god. Fuck. Crap. huh... well, you know, erm, that's what I mean.

Color me depressed.

They delayed Captain Toad and Kirby in Europe, games that barely need any translation. XBX isn't coming out till at least 2016 for Europe lol.

the fact that it isn't even being shown, means they have major changes going down. nx will be home for Zelda u. just to keep the hype going, it should be shown. hasn't this game been in developed for like 3 years already. they will always tell u its for quality purposes which is bs.
