The Spanish Association of Video Games (AEVI) has revealed that game overall consumption in Spain was €996 million (+6.8%) in 2014.

Physical sales accounted for €755 million (-0,9%) of overall Spanish video game market, while digital consumption increased by 41% to €241 million.

Spanish billion: 1.000.000.000.000; twelve zeroes.

An equivalent for the english billion is the spanish "millardo", but nobody uses that word anymore.

1 english billion= 1 spanish millardo

You wouldn't believe how many mistakes and errors are made every year when translating these two.

Oh, I'm sure there are plenty mistakes, and it's sad but not unexpected.

Everybody assumes that things work the same way everywhere, and are genuinely surprised when they find out that they don't.

I'm not from Spain and neither are any of the companies selling consoles there, so it's nearly a billion for the relevant companies and for me.

Dat playstation 3. Sold twice as much as the second console, which is the 3DS, and then we have PS4 on the third spot (+451.2%!). Gold and Bronze for Sony there, though I can't say I expected less.
