Kinect games are fun for the family. Is that all you guys supposedly read?
He said he's excited for Rare's new project and they might do a collabo.

Around the Network

"They gave us freedom, almost more freedom than Nintendo gave us."

is much different than the title of the thread... Microsoft gave us more freedom than Nintendo

"They gave us freedom, almost more freedom than Nintendo gave us."

The title makes it seems like Nintendo had them in chains...

So less freedom than nintendo

I had to change the title because I know people will find any excuse they can to stay off-topic.
I can tell mods got already bombarded with a thread title change request.

Anyway:

-Ex-Rare dev is excited for Rare new projects

-He's mentions a possible future collabo between Playtonics and Rare

-He mentions how MS allowed them to work freely

Contrary to popular belief, Rare actually believes in Kinect. I won't be surprised if there is some kind of Kinect integration in their upcoming games, even though they'll likely be designed around controllers primarily. Also, don't forget that they made several games for Xbox before the Kinect even came out. Maybe Nintendo would never have let them make games like Kameo and Viva Pinata, maybe Nintendo just wanted sequels to their successful games.

On topic: Good to hear that they're excited about Rare's next project, and that they might collab with them in the future.

Kameo was in development for the GameCube.

How do you give almost more? Either it's more or it's not.

I almost lifted more weight than you. You lifted 300 pounds and I lifted 299. Wouldn't it be easier to say "less" or "almost as much"?

Do you think they still believe in Kinect now? It doesn't seem like thier parent company does. From what we have heard recently, HoloLens seems to be the new Kinect, in as much as it is where MS are seemingly putting in a lot of focus. It doesn't seem like Kinect is going to come back in any big way in the near future.

If Microsoft game them freedom, why did they leave just to form another company?
