I'm the same with the majority of other games but with a souls game, I'm not. First thing with a souls game, info about the game is extremely limited in-game. Nothing is ever really explained to you. Certain creatures and bosses in general drop highly valuable upgrade materials that have one time use in that playthrough. If you squader the material, you'll have to wait til new game plus to get more of it. For example, a boss's soul can be used to either upgrade or create a special weapon, unlock a spell or miracle or consume it for xp/money. You won't know any details about a specific boss's soul until you look it up. It's very easy to ruin a playthrough. The first playthrough is the easy mode version. After you beat the game, you'll go into new game + and it's twice as hard as the first playthrough. Each time you beat the game, it makes it harder. If you want decent weapons and gear in new game plus then you have to know how to obtain that gear.

Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification. Definitely sounds interesting. I still think I'd probably not watch videos or read walkthroughs, by I more than understand why you would.

On topic: Just watched the video...like Rol said, major clipping. That's not going to review well, is it?? Who knows. Also, what's up with the funny ladder animation? Not sure if it's the camera angle or what, but there's something definitely awkward there.

In the first video?

Clipping right at the start. Good, because I wasn't interested in watching more than a couple of minutes, but I found something to downplay the game anyway.

Did you watch the first three minutes? It gets better.

Really?  This doesn't make any sense to me.  Why wouldn't you try to beat it yourself first without any spoilers/help?

It would be wise of him to cherry pick some guides for needed info on first playthrough.

I completely disagree. Wise would be not using any guides in the begining at all. Just embrace the game. Look for help when you actually need it.

If he was wanting to go into new game + and/or pvp, he would need at least a gear crafting guide, gear/spell locations, stuff not to miss in first playthrough, explantation of stats in relation to the build he wants. Otherwise he could ruin that character or first playthrough at the very least. Nothing wrong with getting some intel on certain things about the game. It helps people not get so frustrated from lack of knowledge. Like how demon's souls was with crystal lizards. Need to know that.

a very informative first impression, i recommend people watching it who arent sure about buying this game
