It sure does.  March will be interesting to see if the 3ds holds on for another month and can narrow the 2015 gap.

Isn't bloodborne coming out this month? Pretty sure PS4 will take March too.

Unlike last month ps4 has the software advantage for March. It has Bloodborne and two big multiplats battlefield hardline and final fantasy type O.  

3ds could have had stock problems however so it's anyone's guess who wins March. 

3DS is ending its life cycle. Will probably do out by 2017 with its last games and a price cut. That's when thing's will get interesting for 3DS's sales. As for PS4, of course it'll beat the 3DS this year, assuming Nintendo doesn't have another Pokemon or 3D Mario but even then PS4 would still beat it. Nintendo has played all their tricks on 3DS, PS4 is just getting started and the big stuff isn't even here yet. Sometimes I think treads are made out of boredom but still here I am...bored.

Well, if 3DS doesn't have games to compete with it, I don't see how 3DS can compete. It can't win on just the console alone, also considering it's on it's 4th/5th year. Most people who want a 3DS likely have one now.

Can I just point out that you might think it's on its last legs but 2015 was the best start it ever had.  

If its heavily supply strained it's possible.  Maybe others know better than me in this regard. Regarding the 4th/5th year part read the opening post and you will see that this is the best start of a year ever for the console.
