Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Kirby is "Not" A Flop... Update: Rainbow Curse Showing "Balls" :)

Its nowhere close to that. Im coming off arguing how the game isnt a flop.

Im making estimates as well, you act like a game just stops selling after 9 days. As you implied from earlier comments (US)

You said you deal with realities and not hopes and dreams, yet reality hasnt even begun to show itself. Its funny how you mark a game without letting it even sell for a year. A game in which could potentially leg out.

Im not asking for 1mil sales here (hopes and dreams right), im basing on estimates as well which obviously your lacking here (in predicting Sales).

Of course i personally dragged this out way to long and for that i do apologize. Anywayz i'll let it go (our argument) for now again my bad for coming off rough :-/

Well, I hope for your sake it does sell with retained legs and break even (for the studios sake too), but I doubt it - don't worry though, I wont make a thread in a years time to mock you if you're wrong.

I doubt this game is gonna have a hard time breaking even, it's simple af.

You got to be kidding if you think this game cost 4.4 million to make.

That depends, do you think it costs more (if so, it most likely did)

If you think it cost less, you're painfully out of touch.

Kirby has not been released on Europe, and Kirby sells a lot on Holidays, because is very kiddie and is the perfect gift for kids.

This game would be above 500k this year.

Kirby is currently the second best selling Wii U game on amazon.jp (229th overall game)
"Amazon ベストセラー商品ランキング: ゲーム - 229位 (ゲームのベストセラーを見る)
2位 ─ ゲーム > Wii U > ゲームソフト > アドベンチャー"

Kirby is currently the sixth best selling Wii U game on amazon.com (82th overall game)

How many people?

HAL has 130+ employees, not including the interns and short term positions, at least 70% of the team would have been assigned to RC. 70% of a minimum 130 is 91. so the earlier comment of 80 is probably true if not a little low.

mario galaxy was developed by 50 people of Nintendo EAD, do you think that the entire HAL studio was developing this game???? Nintendo never uses a lot of people for their games, definitely not 130 for this game.

A lot of "ifs" in this calculation!

$40 (retail price)

60% (share that Nintendo gets of retail price - seach for video game breakdown cost)

185,000 copies needed to make $4.4 millions
