Price cuts are made when hardware sales are down. PS4 is in opposite situation. Yes. PS4 will get a price cut. But given the sales numebr I think it wont be coming soon.

Imagine the ps4 went up YOY at 299.  Hell with final fantasy 15, street fighter 5, uncharted 4, gran turismo 7 and many more releasing next year they could leave a price cut until 2017 LMFAO

That's not necessarily true. As has been shown in this very thread, the PS1, PS2, and PS3 all got price drops within 20 months of release. PS1, and especially, the PS2 were definitely selling very well when they got the first price drop. If Sony can make a profit, or break even - on HW - they will drop the price to $299 IMO. The lost revenue in the HW profit margin will be made up by sales of accessories, games, and especially PS+/PSNow/PSVue/Other sony services.

God point. Yeah. They might do it. But I think they want to make as much cash as they can from PS4. And use the price cut formula just before Halo 5 release.

1.5M gap in the US by the time Halo 5 launches. 

I am expecting H5 to launch in September, so no way in hell will the gap be 1.5M. I doubt it will be that even if Halo 5 releases in December.

In the US. Maybe something like 11 million to 9.5 million
