Will Xenoblade Chronicles Let's Plays Help Xenoblade X?

So a month or so back in the whole Nintendo vs. Youtuber let's play fiasco, the argument was made by a lot of people that let's players can boost sales of games. Recently, I went back to listen to a song for Xenoblade Chronicles and discovered that it had 300,000 views. In the comments there was mention of a let's play by Chuggaaconroy and it was implied that a lot of these views came from him recently killing the final boss of the game. I went to his let's play and saw that his first video had 1.3 million views, that is more than the original sold. His final video only had 170k views, as of now, but still that is a lot of people exposed to the game.

Do you think this will benefit Xenoblade X , Xenoblade Chronicles 3DS, New 3DS and the Wii U's sales? Why? Why not? If Chuggaaconroy made a let's play of Xenoblade X right after release, do you think that can negatively influence sales? (People who just want to know the story can watch him play.)

If so then it will only be existing Nintendo fans watching so it won't make a difference.

I'm confused here. If the let's play is already up, and not taken down, what prevents/prevented non-Nintendo fans from watching it? It seems to me that the people who haven't played the game are the most interested in watching.

I doubt it will have an impact, xeno is a jrpg and heavy story driven. Lets plays in fact will decrease the sales numbers for this game, imo

This seemed to contradict what people were saying about let's plays and Nintendo's policies a month ago. So let's plays, can indeed be bad, and can harm a company? (This was clear to me, but not to others at the time.)

Do Nintendo still have the policy that people that do lets plays of their games can't do any non-Nintendo games?

Thats never been a policy

Not if it's as long as Xenoblade.

Link? Because even with Nintendo's Youtube program, thats wasn't a policy, unless something changed over the last few days

Even if it is true, are there not Nintendo fans who weren't much interested in Xenoblade before watching the let's play, and are now interested (maximizing sales within the Nintendo fanbase?)
