Forums - Gaming Discussion - Wii U indie games announced - A massive List

What do you think of these games? Half of them are Wii U exclusive. I was aware of afew of them like swords and soldiers 2, but "don't starve" and 'never alone' look like sure purchases. Hex heroes is also listed for Q3 (YESh). I'm a little confused, but is the art academcy listing an update? And OctoDad deadliest catch? I didn't see that coming. Ad many of these games are either amazing beer party games or perfect for playing off screen on the gamepad, while sipping on a iced pepsi in the sun.

That looks suspiciously Similar to the 50% of the Vita's game library that isn't JRPG's.

Don't take digital release dates too seriously, they are as volatile as propane.

Let's be positive here though. The gamepad will house them well and being a handheld and a console in one really isn't a bad thing. Man, I will be buying a whole pile of these. I was actaully thinking it looked more like STEAM's backyard. (which is a good thing)

Do they have a list for the 3DS indies?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Yes, I am sorry not to add it, but I didn't want to cover more than one topic. This one is already broad enough. That might be more suitable for a seperate thread.

Yeah, Art Academy still has a generic 2015 but then Trine is apparently out next week! And will ASA be finally set for April? Other titles that interest me like S&SII and Adventures of Pip follow on May, and the newly announced Never Alone goes for summer!

No signs of Hyper Light Drifter or The Next Penelope.

I'm wondering if S&S2 will have online or local dual screen multiplayer. I have the first one on Wii U and it's really fun, but would be 12 times better playing against someone on the TV while I face the other way on the gamepad.

What? I played the first one on Wii, I assumed the WiiU version would have that dual screen multiplayer.

From NintendoLife: "While the game has made the jump to Wii U in much the same shape as its original release, some features from ports in-between have unfortunately not made the cut — while there is multiplayer, it's offline only, so you cannot literally try to conquer the world. One key bonus point of that local multiplayer, however, is that you can each have a full screen, with one focused on the GamePad and the other using a Wii Remote and the TV."
