Super Metroid - no it doesn't, its one of the greatest games ever made

Link to the Past - Landstalker. Look it up and how much people love this game.

Fire Emblem - equal? no...but Shinig Force 2 is actually a better tactical RPG

Landstalker has an isometric view, right? And I could never get into the Shining Force games. It was really confusing. Maybe I shoud try again.

Did someone say Shining Force?

Speaking of which though, I beat all three episodes of Shining Force III (though 2 and 3 were in japanese).

MegaDrive/Genesis, of course. More powerful, better games.

MegaDrive Vs SNES was the BEST generation of all time. My favourite console and my second favourite console, both in the same generation. This will never happen again.

It had a faster CPU, but SNES was overall more capable.

Super Nintendo
However, Sega's Jurassic Park, Smash TV, Mortal Kombat ports, to name a few were superior to their SNES counterparts.

Mortal Kombat had terrible graphics and sound effects in the Genesis version. The only advantage it had was blood.

SNES all the way. The Genesis never had an equal to Super Metroid, A Link To The Past, or Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem.

That's what made it superior to me.  Yeah, the audio was crap... but blood!

Try playing a hack of Mortal Kombat SNES with blood. I guarantee you, it's much better.

SNES all the way. I've always noticed that Sega's visuals seemed a bit off when it came to muliplat games, I could be mistaken since it was 20yrs ago.

Genesis did however have some killer exclusives I had/loved that SNES didnt have. ie. the X-men games and Lethal Enforcers with the gun.

SNES, by a large margin.. Its one of the best consoles (if not the best) of all time.

Well, the Genesis actually won the US so being that I am also from the US, I have to admit that I liked it better. It just seemed more edgy and it's games were more teen driven.

I ha both, but I think I liked the Genesis more.

genesis didn't win the US, it was winning for a while but it also had a 2 year headstart.  It did win in Europe.

I'm pretty sure by the time Sega's next console launched, the Gensis was winning in the US. It lost WW though.

I had Lethal Enforcers for the Sega CD. Me and my dad LOVED that game. So much fun.

SNES. Though I was young back then, and the only game I really enjoyed was Mario World. I also had an N64, which was a blast! But with the 6th gen, I became an Xbox fanboy. Online connectivity on a console was just to big to pass up (dreamcast also had it, but it was discontinued). Never owned a Genesis, so I'll have to go with SNES.
