In surfing around the future shop web site I happened to notice a price hike for certain games of $74.99. I know game prices were raised just last year to $69.99 in Canada and from the looks of it, it’s happening again. Taxes in, it will cost myself a little over 86 dollars for a new release game here in Nova Scotia. Here’s just a handful of games that have been adjusted up thus far.

I presume Best Buy Canada is doing the same since they own Future Shop. EB Games (owned by Gamestop) has also done the same with some of the upcoming games.

As of writing this, Amazon.ca has yet to raise the price on any up coming games so if you’re Canadian and looking to pre-order any upcoming PS4/X1 titles, you may want to go through Amazon for the time being. Hard times for the Canadian gamer…
 

Man that's rough... When I saw the prices of games in Peru (often worse than the ones you just listed) I realized I'd probably not be interested in games at all in certain countries; heck, I often feel ripped off at $60 lol

That's horrible. But think of it this way, in other places, games are over 100 something.

Urghh! This sucks T_T Games are becoming soo expensive now! Le sighh, at this rate, my buying rate for games will have to be significantly less :(

This is going to the point of nonsense! Now I will probably have to skip games like Kirby, Yoshi and etc just so I can buy only the games that I reallyy want instead of buying the games I want might want to play + the ones I really want
