Forums - Gaming Discussion - If i can finish Gears of Wars on 5-6 hours long, 12 hours campaign on The Order 1886 is not that bad

My understanding was the order was 7 hours long, not 12. Also, gears had multiplayer to keep people playing. Not saying the haters are right to hate since they haven't played it, but gears had a bit more going for it with the multiplayer...

Some say 12 some say 7, and that's only for the single player campaign, maybe in the future the developer is going to release multy player campaign or they prepare some surprise on the game.

12 hours? You use the short time for Gears and the absolute longest time for The Order?? And what about cutscenes? Can't you skip them in Gears? Plus the awesome multiplayer adds a ton more value.

Not to forget. It has amazing co-op. Which is a big reason people bought it.

-The Order is not 12 hours, is around 6 and there was video proof of it

-The Order is 6 hours with 3 hours being cut scenes and 1 hour being QTEs events, thats only 2 hours of gameplay

-Gears has Coop and Competitive Multiplayer

Thats a very ignorant thing to say and QTE's IS gameplay.

Well, Gears of War has multiplayer, it also has co-op, and starting with GeoW2 it has a Horde mode that can be done solo or with others.
That is why nobody ever brings up its story campaign length.....although I am sure it took me more than 5-6 hours to finish any of them.

So many threads about this game and we still haven't gotten past this yet? Average play time on NeoGaf is 10 hours. pretty much all of them have fallen between 8 and 13. Oh, and it's 2 hours of cutscenes and 11 minutes of QTE.

So much misinformation on this game...

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Because the stories is part of the gameplay on The Order 1886, we  now have both combination of Gears of War and Heavy rain games, the merging of action cynematic genre on video games. It maybe bad for some gamers but at the same time it's what the other gamer wait for.

So, a reviewer says 7 hours, 2 videos say 5 hours and 6 hours, and a guy from neogaf says 12...why should we believe the neogaf guy?

But they aren't fun :/

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

everyone would have been pissed off if gears had no coop or multiplayer. That's how shooters are these days and have been for a long time, I remember seeing the thread about CoD where something like 80% of the people skipped the single player and only played multiplayer.
