Forums - Gaming Discussion - Who Has The Highest IQ In All Of VGChartz?

I got 146 on the test (probably could have gotten higher if I didn't space out on two of them, one of them being a little unfair due to relying on your knowledge of names of countries, cities, oceans, animals, and such), but I decided to cheat a little bit and do it again. It most definitely is based on your speed, since I got 200 the second time around. So yeah, I probably would have got a 150+ with THIS specific test if I were at full attention.

edit: Which, by the way, this test must be inaccurate.  A more reliable IQ test would actually have more questions and be more exhaustive in the types of questions it has.  They would also strive to take out some biases rather than actually create them.

Put this in just as proof of how easy it is to get a high score here without really working for it.

I got 141... nice to see that this test proves without doubt everyone on this forum is actually really smart... I was starting to worry.

Got an 143 in this test.

Never took an official test, but most of the time my results in other way longer online tests are between 120-150. I always considered doing a real IQ-test, but they aren't really popular in Germany and I don't think that I could gain anything from knowing my verified IQ: I know that I can't be stupid, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten a master's degree in astrophysics. So anything below ~115 is already really unlikely and if an official test showed that my IQ is above ~140 it would just confirm that my laziness is the main reason why I didn't get better grades and why I'm having problems getting a job.

Also, education is definitely important as it compares you to the right group of people to get the correct relation = IQ. So this test is pretty much bollocks.

The BBC years ago did a 'National IQ Test' programme, which was all well and good but part of the test had phrase parts. Many of this I struggled on as I'd never heard the phrases before, certainly not regional ones. That's nothing to do with IQ, it's to do with knowledge. Even in this pathetic one there were a few words ones but rearraging the letters for form England makes no sense if your native language you call it Angleterre.

Yeah, that's right. I actually fell for questions like that on other tests before (even the "real" one in German, my mother tongue, got me there because of one word that has almost died out and was only used in agriculture; I didn't know the word and failed to notice the connection to a group of other words). I think there was a thread on VGC years ago about how IQ tests do not work with languages (by now I know there are "international tests" that leave out language to avoid the IQ vs knowledge stuff) but shouldn't include math as well as it's not working for all cultures equally. Quite interesting argument but I didn't follow that thread. But hey, sorry for the off-topic.

What a crap ...

You can make the test for several times, but the questions and answers are always the same. *lol*
You can even look at the correct answers and make the test again.

You have an IQ of 200

Try mensa. They are the cheapest as well (I could probably even get you a free ticket for a test). They may have an awkward reputation but that seems to be the case in the US primarily. (And, of course, reading stuff about clubs on the internet will always put it in its wrong light because the loud members, e.g. posting stuff in big boards/on social media, are always the worst; same goes for video game fans :D it's the internet). There's also no need to join mensa. You can be done with it after the test, they just host it.

Knowing your IQ doesn't really gain you anything but you can learn to use your "power" in the best possible way, doesn't matter which score it is in the end. That's also why the score shouldn't matter and be spread like a status symbol. It's not like it makes you a better or worse person. And it's not like a high score is heaven on earth or a low score means you fail at life.
