We finally got the adjustments for the Europe weeks in 2014!!!
This means every Global week of 2014 changed and the overall numbers make sense again!

Do the recent boost has anything to do with PSTV? It's been doing rather well recently when compared with the same period last year, so is it explained by the cheap PSTVs in Europe or something else?

It's simply overtracked here. Nobody in Europe buys a Vita and almost no stores still stock them. I've been all over Europe the last 5 years and I've yet to see anyone mention the Vita here. I would say it's overtracked by almost 1000% in Europe every week on vgchartz.
