Forums - Sony Discussion - Should I buy the Jak and Daxter collection?

The 3 games have a Imo very different feel to them. The first one was very easy but very charming. It's the highlight of the collection Imo, very fun game to play and considering I never played it back in the day it was a nice surprise. The second game, i did play this pos back in the day and i consider it the worst sequel ever created and one of the worst games I've ever played. vehicle handling is hilariously-painfully-frustrating and the vehicles are made of tissue paper, checkpoint system is non existent, half way through there's an insane difficulty spike. Very frustrating game to play, the worst of the collection. Game 3 was vastly improved, no difficulty spike, vehicle handling was solid and these alot of vehicles to choose from. And there's a decent checkpoint system but the game is bland, there's no character no charm. Its a decent sequel but no where near the bar the first one set. But that's my opinion, other people will remember them differently.

Sums up my feelings pretty much, although I liked 3 better than one :)

Jak 2 and that fucking sewer level. OMG.

I recently just bought the Jak and Daxter collection on Vita. Just like you I never played them before. I've spent a few hours with each game in the collection thus far but I'm not really enjoying them enough to complete. They feel tedious to me.

A younger me would have probably loved them. But its just not the games I want to spend time with right now.

I also purchased the Ratchet & Clank collection on Vita having never played them. Again, decent games but I'm not sure I'll complete them. I'm having more fun with Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus.

How is it for Vita?

Badly optimized.

Had a feeling...

Jak 2 and 3 actually run good enough.

Jak 1 on the otherhand is runs shitty. They shouldn't have released it performing like that.

What did you think of jak n daxter? I loved it on ps2 and I love it now.

I would give Jak and Daxter an 8. Its probably my favorite platformer outside Mario and Littlebigplanet (I think Tearaway will probably take #3 when the PS4 version comes out)

That is lame, the PSVita should have no issue at all playing those games, especially part 1. Its graphics werent that great.

Personally I have never cared for R&C much. IDKY it just gets boring to me.

As I said I will be playing part 2 in the next week or so. Guess we will see what I think. I cant imagine not liking 2 alot as I enjoyed 1 pretty throughly. I guess I will have to see.

Do it! I'm not the biggest fan of Jak 2 and 3, but you should still give that collection a try!
