According to reports in routers, sony executives are open to all options to turn around the giants struggling mobile division.  potential paths include sale or joint adventure with another partner, despite churning out respectable smartphone sony is yet to profit from its tv and mobile business. The Japanese giant is facing a $1.9 billion loss for the fiscal year ending in march.

 

There are no pending deals for sony mobile just yet however sources tell routers that "sony can exit business."

 

Sonys CEO kaz hirai acknowledged that the mobile and tv division both require a drastic overhall late late last year and that sony will release fewer devices in order to make more money.

They need to rid them selves of all that are a loss, tv phone what ever.

Be more apple like, sale a select few products. PS being a pillar of sony.,



At least they're willing to make tough calls and axe bleeding divisions, which is what they may need to do to get back in the black.

Well, that should keep each division on their toes. I can't believe it has reached this point tbh. Hopefully, in the next fiscal years they can turn things around. 



There recent phones were ok, especially the compacts, but started way too expensive. Though prices dropped quite fast. Anyway, Samsung and the chinese companies are eating up so much market share, I guess there is not much to win for Sony.
