Yep thats right the PS Vita remake of 2008's Persona 4 has gone on to surpass it in sales at the end of 2014 without including digital sales. This is an amazing feat showing the growth of the series in recent years. This year we are expecting the release of Persona 5 on PS3 and PS4 and many believe it may become the first game in the series to surpass 1 million sales however with the legs that Persona 4 Golden has shown it could end up beating it to the punch.

In 2014 it went on to sell another 211,015. Only 170k away from the big 1,000,000 I can see it quite possibly making that figure by the end of 2015, if you include digital it should be a lot closer too after being apart of many sales on PSN over its 3 years.

That would be quite an accomplishment. I would say it's definitely possible, and should be very close including digital.

Deserves 5 million! It is not just a great game, but the best Persona as well. Love it.

Yeah its in my top 5 games of all time, I couldnt believe I had never heard of the game until P4G. It comes so close to being the perfect RPG imo.

100% deserved and then some! Definitely in my top 5 favorite video games of all time and easily the best game I've played in the past decade. Only shame is I just now played it.

Still need to buy and play Persona 3, the fighting games, the Blu-Rays, and hopefully they put out some sort of collector's edition for Persona 5!

I have P3FES on my PS3 waiting to be played... I just dont have my PS3 =P MY sis currently has it.
