I have really no preference as long as the translation is accurate. Eventually, I want to learn japanese so I can watch all of the anime and jmovies without having to worry about dubbed or subtitled plus that way I'll have a more accurate understanding of what they are saying.

As someone that is doing that now, I'd highly recommend it

How did you learn the language?

I'm studying it at university. Haven't really learnt it yet though, only half way through my first year. It is very interesting though

That's cool. I bet it's fun. i'm debating on getting rosetta stone so I can learn it but I haven't really researched the best way to learn a new language. Who knows.

For foreign shows, anime, and movie, I usually watch it subbed because I want to hear the characters' original voices. Also, sometimes the dubbed voices just suck or dont have the emotion that matches the character like the subbed does. Sometimes I like a character's subbed voice much better than the dubbed as well.

I prefer dubbed when the characters original voices in sub don't have their accents matching their nationality. One of the reasons why I love Hellsing Ultimate dubbed is the amazing voice actors do this and do it well. I love the Spanish dialect and how crazy German people can sound and Hellsing Ultimate nails both of these with Maxwell and the General when dubbed.

Also, sometimes the dub has really good voice actors and was widely distributed as such so you get used to the character's dub voices like Dragon ball, Pokemon, and Spirited Away.

I usually avoid cinematic heavy games so I don't have any opinions in that.

I like my anime subbed. Preferably horribly and torrented.

Subbed, especially when the media in question is anime.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Originals are 99% of the time better. There's only a handful of anime that are good in dubbed. I like international cinema a lot and it would be wrong watching french or asian movies with american voices.

Depends, sometimes i hate sub just because i cant multitask while watching, like i cant look at my phone or look away for 10 seconds.

Usually if i watch something one way its hard to watch it differently a second time, like if i watch a subbed anime then watch it dubbed later on it'll be weird.

But other then that it doesn't really bother me, like if there something that only has subs and no dub i dont really mind.

It really depends on the native language: if the game is in Japanese I'd generally prefer the English dub, because I actually want to understand the language that is spoken, however games dubbed in Finnish sound horrible and unnatural and usually puns and jokes that work in English cannot be translated into my native language...

I'm from Denmark as you may have guessed. Everything that isn't Danish is subtitled here. Every movie, tv-shows.. News interviews Iranian, Korean, French, English everything. Everything that isn't in its original language feel weird to me.
