Really cool :) Actually I see this a good stepping stones for young kids from Minecraft to more advanced and story telling game. Love it.

Also available on all platforms, great stuff!

It is not. Nintendo gets ignored completely.

oh wow... :( That sucks, did not realize Nintendo was out.
Come on, I believe the Nintendo platforms and audience (WiiU/3DS) are so perfect for Minecraft. I do not get this :(

i like telltale games in general but i feel like the audience for minecraft likes minecraft for being the polar opposite of what a telltale game is. will be very interesting to see how this game is received. not my bag though,.. i have never played minecraft and i can only take so much telltale games. i'm waiting for the next sam and max probably.

also interesting this is multiplat with playstation. i expected some multi-platitude but still surprised playstation is among that.

I get what you say about the audience, but there's always space for something different.

What in the actual fuck? That is freakishly unexpected

Awesome. My kids love Minecraft, but I could never really get into it. This might be a way for me to enjoy it on the level with what I expect from a game. Can't wait.

Author of science fiction and other genres, I write under the pen name Desmond Shepherd. The second season of my series The Permanent Man premieres on November 11, 2014. Pre-order the season premiere The Walls Have Ears on Amazon today!

Why not, if Lego can do it~

I agree!  I don't get the love, but my kids and all their friends are gaga over it.  When they aren't playing it they are watching videos of someone playing it.

Sounds like the circle of life to me.

1. Small company has creative vision.

2. Small company succeeds with massive success

3. Small company is successful for a short period of time and sticks to vision

4. Small company gets greedy and sells out making ridiculous piles of money from ridiculous tripe

5. Small company follows up with "Telltale's Frozen episodic adventure", while Majong creates Frozen mine craft.

6. What now appears to be a large company has veered so far from their vision (ubisoft) that their best staff leave and people begin to hate them.

7. They die a sad lonely death in a snowy krakow alley way with nothing for company but a role of half eaten toilet paper and an issue of spanked.

8./1. A Small company has a creative vision.

like i said,. interesting.

i play a lot of genres of games and i don't expect any gamer only plays one genre exclusively.   but at least for me minecraft was never appealing in the least.  i like games with more structure and objectives.  might sound awkward but the same reasoning because my disinterest in minecraft is why i'm disinterested in GTA.

so yeah, we'll the kids the love minecraft want a very story-driven game with very little "gameplay"?  i dunno.   ..but if i were the one writting the checks to approve game budgets it would be a question i would be asking.  seems like a gamble that could go pretty bad or pretty good, imo.

They will eventually bring it out on Nintendo consoles when every family has 2 copies of it. Then they will make a Jim Carrey face and turn their back.

Terrible idea...what they need to do is fix the gameplay instead of wasting time with Telltale, who certainly aren't known for the gameplay.
