Fixed that. Sony is the only publisher funding their projects.

Now to the point, and as I asked, what is that viewpoint based on?

The sales of Beyond: Two Souls? That game couldnt have been cheap to make and with Until Dawn coming out, Im not sure what QD can add to the PS4 to make people buy it at this point.

The sales of Beyond, at least accoring to us, is around 1.5 million. Hardly a reason I'd expect them to suddenly look away from the developer, especially with the success of their previous game as well. Sony has proven that they don't work like that.

Im not saying they will look away from them. They will probably publish the B2S and/or HR remaster.

Read the link I posted (in the edit). If your entire foundation for this view is based on Beyond not meeting sales expectations, I'd say that lays the notion to rest.

He was just celebrating it selling a million units. Didnt say anything about it making money for Sony...

and I doubt a big publisher is going to give them much money at this point...

Beyond 2 Souls performed decently as far they're concerned ...

Well maybe the sales paid for the salaries of Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe...

They do alot of research and tech demos. I dont think Sony or any other publisher are interested in investing much in them right now.

They're already working on a next gen PS4 game so what you're saying is useless.

They've done like 3 tech demo's in the span of 8-10 years. Talk about hyperbole.

Well, you can stick by your thoughts. I'll just wait for whatever January offers, knowing full well they're going to continue to be funded by Sony after two previous sales successes.

Platinum Games just celebrated Bayonetta 2 getting a warm welcome and thanked the people who bought it. I guess that game was a success then...

Thanking people for buying the game and actually saying the game is a success are two totally different things.

I don't know the ins and outs of Bayonetta 2, so it's irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. Just read my edit(s) in previous posts. They put things in perspective.

Not really. Unless you can show me where Sony or QD says something like: "This game was a success and made us alot of money" then we can just speculate on the matter. With the high cost of game development and marketing these days, I dont think 1.5 million in sales will make them a profit. Tomb Raider couldnt make SE a profit with 5 million sold.

He didnt say it was a success, the guy who wrote the article did...

I hope its a new game aswell. I would love an Omikron remake. Something with more gameplay.

Beyond two souls on PS4 is not necessary.
