At least there's that little thumbnail with art above the title.

BTW is this really worth such language?

yeah, you know.. i really felt like it did. because i just got captain toad, and ive had it. i expected it, but at the same time, im wondering, is this jsut their plan for the rest of their time packaging and distributing games? this is really what theyre going for? its bullshit. and thats all there is to it.

Oh by the way im not going to make a thread but maybe you can add this on to yours. why do they keep putting the fucking club nintendo code on the back of the cover why not in the damn manual slot where it belongs. That pisses me off so much.

i noticed that with smash bros.. i think they might actually have a reason for that.. maybe like making sure that the person who is registering it actually owns the game instead of maybe going to gamestop, hunting for the inserts. its not an air tight way to make sure of it, but it does make it harder for somebody to get the code without actually owning the game.

gamestop cases are always empty they give you the real case when you buy the game. so eh idk their reasoning is really bad either way.

It never really crossed my mind more than once before, but I hope Ninty's designers will stop being lazy one day.

Nice to know some people still care about retail boxes tho. Good ol' discs.

well there are two different kinds of us. there are people who buy games digitally and people who buy games physically, and us gamers who enjoy physical copies of games are the way we are usually because we are collectors. and we like everything that comes with buying a physical copy of a game. for you, you couldnt care less if the game were burned on a disc, or stored in a cloud somewhere as long as youre able to play it, but for me, i love the legacy that nintendo has created and i enjoy every aspect of owning all their games, and that does include the spine.

All my games are phyiscal. I hate digital. I'm a collector as well.  Like I said, boxart is the least of my worries and to me it isnt a huge deal, but its a big deal to you,to each their own,no worries

well throwing away the boxes and storing your discs in a folder or something like that would make it more convenient, wouldnt it? why wouldnt you just take that step if you dont care about box art? or maybe throwing away the boxes and storing them in jewel cases. theyre much smaller and take up less room.

You're now just being over dramatic lol

Just take that we don't all agree in the same way as you do about boxart. Some like it as much as you do and some dont. It's pretty straight forward, sir

yes.. that is straight forward, but when you tell me that you wouldnt care if they put a piece of lined paper in the box and wrote "ZELDA" in crayon on it and packaged it like that, it raises questions for me. so based off what you have said to me so far, it is anything but straight forward.  if that really wouldnt bother you, im left wondering, why dont you just throw your boxes away then and use one of those disc folders? its more convenient, and you must see boxes as somewhat of a hindrance.

or it really would bother you if they packaged games by writing the title in crayon.
