Forums - Microsoft Discussion - XB1 going out of stock everywhere online despite 10 million shipment announce...

To be fair what? You think by that they meant there were exactly at 10 million when they made that non-announcement and that they would therefore be over 10 million soon, meaning the very next day?

What they announced, but in a positive spin way, was in fact that they had not yet shipped 10 million, but that they would get to 10 million at some undetermined future date which was not too far away but could be anything from a week to a month to just before the end of the year, but probably not longer than that. It all depends on what you define as soon.

exactly. and we all know why they did that. because news like (it happened a good bit) reported the 10M number and made a lot of people think they were at 10M sold. It's actually really smart spinning. So good even the mighty seece fell for it!

Well folks I think we can safely say that the season of Xbox is upon us. Millions of Americans across the country have spoken with their wallets on this black Friday and have chosen Xbox One as their gaming choice.

So much wrong with thread title and the extrapolation/insinuation in relation to the misleading thread title.

Just a little bit of grown up insight into this revelation. For the last 3 weeks amazon/retailers have been directing people to the AC bundle as the default SKU so i wouldnt put much weight into it being the "only" SKU available.

I mean, based on online retailers the One has been cleaning the PS4 clock all month, getting in a tizzy about it (again) somewhat confuses me.

It must be horribly exhausting the way people get so worked up based on such fast moving, largely unable to quantify numbers. It is like the weekly charts here on steroids. Just wait a few weeks for the reality of NPD.

And I am sure I will get moderated/banned for saying this (again) but it is borderline irresponsible for people with site credentials to post these ridiculous threads (implying MSFT has shipped and sold 10 million consoles) and only perpetuates this websites reputation problem.

To be fair. They said over 10m shipped
They just used the word soon. And today it's 16 days after that annoucement

What? No?
Op repeat the wording form the Microsoft pr. And got blamed for it in here. That was my point.

We don't know, if they are at 9.3m, 9.7m, 10.2 or 10.8m shipped right now.
We just know, they said "Shortly, we will have sold in to retailers more than 10 million Xbox One consoles" 16 days ago
But it really doesn't matter, if u don't want to start an argue war or just like to imply some1 misleading thread titels.
Otherwise, yes its a HELL LOT of a differene, if you'r at 9.7m or 10.2 right now.  Thats a huge diffrent. A number you sell through consumer in under 2 weeks the holiday season....

I came from best buy and there were plenty of PS4 GTA bundle and Xbox one bundle available for sale but I see more ps4 bundle so either sony shipped more or xbox one is selling better which I believe it's the latter.

Unless you go by Wal-mart and Gamestop rankings.

Isn't X1 sold out at Walmart?

Praise the One.

Oh, and while it is definitely good that the XBO is selling out, this isn't that surprising given it's Black Friday. I'm pretty sure this happens to all consoles at this time of year. The PS4 is also selling out if you look on that site, and I'm sure they shipped just as much, if not more, than the XBO.

True, but the PS4 has been ahead all month, so I doubt it would be any different.

This is an incredible feat! Millions of Americans will buy several hundredthousand Xb ones. I hope they are good at coming to some sort of shared custody arrangements. Console polygamy is alive and well in the USA.

How much did they ship? And where are these BF sales going on at other than online? It is only 10 where I live so the BF deals haven't even started yet. Or are we only talking about online and not in store? Whatever the case MS has had some AMAZING deals going in and is selling very well in the US at this time! Keep up the good work!
