Wii U doesn't stand a chance thanks to 3DS version. Keep in mind I'm not saying Smash'll do bad or it won;t have legs, but rather its day one sales are going to be stymied and when the race is this close, I expect X1 to blaze past not to mention COD and GTA are over kill.

Interestingly, I don't think BF is gonna matter that much overall sales of November for X1, cause retailers aren't going to drop deals further than Microsoft already has. At the same time, customers are more "mobile" on black friday.

The question is who will get to 8.5 million first. So it all depends on whether Xone 10 million units were shipped or sold. If they were sold, then that would just state that they already reached 8.5 million, but if it was shipped, that would mean that everything depends on SSBU. If it had strong legs, WiiU will get there first. If not, Xone will.

With Sunset Overdrive, Halo: MCC, Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Assassin's Creed: Unity, Far Cry 4, Grand Theft Auto V and many other games not coming out for the Wii U and the $50 price drop, Microsoft can get to 8.5 first. They are banking on the Americans buying these consoles over the next two months. If it's only a 700,000 unit defecit, they have a good chance. Super Smash Brothers Wii U isn't enough
