Forums - Nintendo Discussion - After Bayonetta 2's performances, what are the expectations on Devil's Third?

Tagged games:

It all depends on the quality of the game. Based on what's been shown it will probably only sell 200,000 units lifetime. But if it ends up reaching bayonetta level of quality it could go to 400 or 500 k. We still don't know how well Bayonetta 2 is going to sell based on Bayonetta 1 having amazing legs. If Bayonetta 2 earns a bunch of game of the year awards it could impact the long term ww sales totals.

I expect sevens all around, both reviews and in sales

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

would wait for the final trailer and hopefully a quality game. depends on my budget too by that time.

It will be a quiet flop.

I expect it to sell about as well as Zombie U.

I see this as nintendo giving us a shooter, for charity, for the people who like shooting using the wiimote as a light gun.

I will only buy 3 games next year because I want to dedicate next year to beat games in my backlog (unless Civilization 6, Virtua Fighter 6 or Street Fighter 5 are released in 2015), and this will be one of those games.

Platinum is still 3rd party.  They're THINKING about going 2nd party, but for now still 3rd.  And dunno bout the Devil's Third developers

Second Party is a term that describes a Third Party developer who creates exclusive games to one console in particular.

It has guns. Bayo didn't have guns or rather, it did but not fps-type guns. Graphics looked meh but gameplay looked interesting: a Japanese take on CoD which should be interesting.

The game will be a cult folowing game

Looks like it might be fun but it's a wait and see for me right now.
