300 preorders don't "evaluate demand", it is statistically insignificant given the "potential" market. The initial reasoning is nonsensensical. They are simply trying to drum up hype on a bundle that literally sells on nothing but hype because (a.) no game for months, and (b.) no promises long term have actually been given for anything.

(As an example) 15,000+ Bayonetta 2 FPEditions are how you evaluate demand as thats a much more statistically significant number as well as more in-line with the general "potential" market of WiiU in EU.

It's not about the number sold, but about the time it needs to sell these units.

And i dont see why you are talking about that, of course they are doing that because they have no games in Japan for the month, this has nothing to do with the topic, from a sales pov, that could be a very smart move. But it's not selling on hype, if it was, the PS4 would be selling good, they want to sell PS4 to Dragon Quest lovers, that's all. And what do you mean by " promises long term " ? You seem to forget some games coming very soon.
