Like with everything else, idiots have only themselves to blame.

Ok, thanks. SO we have Witcher 3, The Order, Bloodborne and this game releasing in February in Japan -- assuming those other three DO release there at the same time.
The PS5 Exists.

Well, they can only blame themselves for buying something they know nothing about. The TV ad is pretty clear
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m
Oop, yup, its definitely limited and already sold-out lol.
I hope this is the start of a good baseline for the PS4 in Japan. To be honest, the PS4's offerings in Japan has been abysmal this year and I was happy when SCEJA took the initiative in pre-TGS.

300 units aren't going to make a baseline for now.

It's not " only 300 units " but "300 units to pre order first " to evuale demand , so yes, it could start a good baseline for christmas, until february, the big month that will raise the baseline for a good time

300 preorders don't "evaluate demand", it is statistically insignificant given the "potential" market. The initial reasoning is nonsensensical. They are simply trying to drum up hype on a bundle that literally sells on nothing but hype because (a.) no game for months, and (b.) no promises long term have actually been given for anything DQ related.
(As an example) 15,000+ Bayonetta 2 FPEditions are how you evaluate demand as thats a much more statistically significant number as well as more in-line with the general "potential" market of WiiU in EU.
