Anyone who compares its value to the MCC is pathetic.  MCC actually has effort applied.

I know plenty of people that simply watched the game on twitch the first day it released.  Its gameplay is nothing special, people just like it for its story.  Nothing wrong with that, but comments like "Game of the Generation" are ridiculous.

Don't open your mouth in ignorance.

The PS5 Exists.

Triple dipping? Wow.

What's wrong with a GOTY edition? They're just full content versions of the original, intended to entice those who haven't bought it yet. They usually replace the original version.

Heck, TLOU:R was essentially a GOTY edition for PS4 owners. It was a good move, too. A lot of PS4 owners never had the chance to play TLOU since they didn't own a PS3.

And 68 million of the remaining 75 million PS3 owners who don't have a PS4 or TLOU also have the chance to by the complete package at a pretty cheap price.

Fact of the matter is the vast majority of PS3 and PS4 owners don't own TLOU, and they've never played it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with trying to entice more people to buy the game. They are actually not trying to convince people who already own the game to buy it a 2nd or 3rd time.

Comments like "triple dipping" are just pathetic.

Don't act like there's actually that many people to sell to. You have to think about used game sales, renting, borrowing, people replacing older consoles with slimmer versions and simply not caring for the game. There's not much more audience to sell to. I'm not saying tripple dipping on consumers part, I'm talking about Sony.

I wholeheartedly disagree ^^ Its gameplay was fantastic. Doubly so because of how tense some of the sections were (still can't get through the college without panicking and getting myself killed).

The release of the PS4 TLOU was for people who didn't own a PS3, as they had statistical data showing that 31% of PS4 owners only had a Wii or 360 last gen. TLOU is also the most decorated game ever and is literally one of the greatest games of all time, based on its critical reception, both by consumers and reviewers. Not to mention it had 7 million sales as an exclusive new IP? Is it wrong to allow those fans who never owned a PS3 a chance to play the game? Because that was the reasoning behind it.

This PS3 version is just what happens with any popular game on any system. I'll agree that the timing is off when you consider that TLOU:R came before...but it's literally no different than Skyrim GOTY, Borderlands GOTY, Gears GOTY, etc.

I'll tell you this, let's say there was no Gears in 2006. Instead, Gears 1 was the swan song of the 360. If I didn't have a 360 last gen and I jumped to XBone, I for damn sure would want a game like that on my console. And then Gears GOTY would be a 360 release in the same vein as every other GOTY.

Good news. It was expect since many games had a GOTY edition. I don't know why many people are complaining about it. This edition is for the ps3 owners who never had the game or were waiting for the cheaper "complete version" of the game. No one is forcing anyone to buy it again.

I guess you are new to gaming. Let me explain it to you, when a game is critically acclaimed the companies tend to release GOTY editions which include, if any, all the DLCs released up to that point. The consumers who are yet to buy the game are aimed with these with the addition of the extra stuff. Since Naughty Dog games score a little higher than the other games, they are appropriate candidates for this treatment.

Halo MCC is doing "quad" dipping. Halo CE & Halo 2 are example of this. Please dont derail the thread.

How am I derailing? You guys are the ones bringing up MCC taking it away from the topic.

BTW, I've already responded to the Halo comment.

This is basically The Last of Us Remastered with less appealing graphics.

And with cinematic 18-26 FPS when more than 1 enemy is on screen. (18-26 is more cinematic than 60)

Should have gotten "Interactive movie of the year" awards instead.

You're still calling this a movie? lol shows how much you know off the game. I love the feelings this game brings out by some.
