Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sunset Overdrive X1 Bundle sold out on Amazon.com (US)

If it never cracked the top 50 hourly or monthly that suggests very low stock at Amazon rather than great sales.
People shouldn't kid themselves that it is SO which is the selling point, it's the white console that is selling, Amazon should have known this and they should have brought in more stock.

Amazon will hold of on taking in to much new stock given its hard to get rid of launch edition boxes.

Thats good to hear. I hope the game does well.

Got short supply most likely, I never saw it nowhere near the top 20 in Amazon....

If I can guess looking at the position on 2014 and 2014-10 ranking....

Amazon underestimated the demand.

The bundle is not even in the TOP100 October that have Nintendo Wii U Deluxe Set: Super Mario Bros U & Luigi U at #98... less than a old Wii U bundle is never good sign.

Amazon could be ordered more.

The bundle is apparently limited in numbers. That's all the stock folks.

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

Like others have said, it seems more like low stock than high pre orders.

Makes senses now.

In other side it is a nonsense from MS if the limited quality is from them... Sony give unlimited Destiny bundles and sold like hotcakes while MS woks with limited bundles... c'mon.

It must have sold millions. I fully expect the bundle to double..no..TRIPLE Xbox One sales on release week.

Same thing with the Madden bundle. They just didn't make enough available.

I think it is channel overload that is probably the issue. I'd guess that buyers for the big box companies just aren't in tune enough with the VG market to know how decently these things can move. They just see the primary X1 numbers and overload, and are gunshy.

Wow if it's MS who only made a limited number of bundles that suggests rather small time thinking on their part. A white xb one is going to sell fairly well regardless of the bundled game. They should have made more.
